- Liferay adopts the LGPL license - I can understand the reasoning, but see this for the link on dual-licensing.
- Oracle likes cloud computing after all - John outlines a very pragmatic approach which is very much just selling hardware/software to customers for their "clouds", supporting their software to be used by some cloud vendors, and renting a few of their apps. Not much new there.
- Google Facts and Figures - Stanford did well ($336M to license a patent), 20 PB of data a day is hard to fathom, and 97% of revenue still from advertising.
- Intel still using IE 6 - But that isn't the only obstacle in moving to Windows 7.
- Hollywood's losing digital downloads battle - Similar to Oracle above, clinging to current business models.
